About Us

What started as a dream at our table has now come to life at yours. We all have an origin story. This is ours. 

Culture and Crumb was founded in an incubator of love and passion for the finest quality charcuterie and community. Our founder, Jeremy Patin CCP, has a breadth of knowledge on all things cheese and has paired that with his talent for making artful and delicious arrangements. 

Charcuterie is a special art because it not only can introduce so many delicious foods and pairings, but it invites community over a shared love of good food and fellowship. Our family’s culture could not be separated from having community around the table, and we wanted to share that love with you. 

But Culture and Crumb is not just about high quality food and meaningful gatherings. We want every board and experience created to be excellent and carefully curated to what each person needs. Jeremy spent 17 years of his career in the cheese and fine food industry and has perfected his craft in order to bring Culture and Crumb to life. Every cheese selected and pairing created is done with careful thought and consideration. We aren’t anything if not intentional. 

Entrepreneurship is also an art in itself. The United States runs on small businesses; it’s the heartbeat of our nation. Many of you may either have your own business or dream of having one some day. We were once in the dream stage as well. But it was time for this dream to become a reality. 

To understand the whole heart behind Culture and Crumb you need to know the last crucial factor in our equation: resilience in faith. Many of you are not surprised that life throws you curveballs and have likely experienced some yourself. We are not immune to this and are happy to share that there is joy to be found in the expected twists and turns. 

Though our dream for our business had been stirring in our hearts for a long time, we were missing the catalyst to get the ball rolling. Curveballs in life are sometimes the one thing you need to redirect and go after things you’d otherwise be intimidated by. Maybe our story can encourage you to do that one thing you’re afraid to try. 

In the beginning of 2023, our family experienced an unexpected job loss that could have resulted in us losing everything. We were faced with the choice between two perspectives: see this as the end of it all and fear what would happen next or allow ourselves to get excited at the better things that await us. It takes faith to choose the latter, but God helped us be joyful in this process, and that is what allowed us to take our dream off the shelf and onto the drawing board. 

Our story and charcuterie have something special in common. They both need community. Losing a security we thought we needed helped us remember how important our family is. Those you love are what matter most when curveballs hit, and they can be just what you need to encourage you when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

Thank you to everyone who was a support to our family when the tunnel was dark. You are a crucial part in our story and the genesis of Culture and Crumb.
